Unfortunately the competition did nowhere near as well as we wanted it to do. We only reached a total of 87 followers on Instagram and 262 on FB. The prize was only to be given away if you were to reach a total of 1000 followers as stated in the terms and conditions. As we are new start-up business we just could not afford to give it away if we did not reach our target. that said, we are offering 20% off any hire costs to anybody who books with us for next year and did enter the competition correctly. Wedding Competition Term and Conditions
In order to qualify to be the winner you must have liked and shared our wedding competition post on Facebook and liked our post and tagged 2 friends on Instagram. You must also have followed us on both along with registering for the competition via our website. We can be found on social media platforms via the links at the top of our website.
If you would like to book your wedding but cannot wait until the winner is announced that is not a problem.
If a wedding package has already been booked and paid for with South West Occasions you can still enter the competition. If you are successful in winning the competition you will be refunded the amount you have already paid, up to the amount stated in the prize for the competition and no more than stated. If the wedding you have already booked is smaller than the prize stated then you will be given the option to upgrade to the wedding package stated in the prize and not refunded the difference. If you wish to keep the wedding as the smaller package that you have already booked the difference in price to the package stated in the competition will not be paid out. Any alterations to the prize will not be refunded but may be charged. The exact cost of the wedding is stated a the bottom of the T&Cs
Please note that the date for the winners wedding and availability of all the hire equipment listed in the prize must be confirmed with South West Occasions and must take place between 1th May 2020 and the 30th September 2020.
The winner must be aged 18 or above and each person can only enter once.
The wedding must be located within the South West of the United Kingdom.
Delivery charges will apply at £0.75 ppm for each trip to the wedding venue location and back to EX37 9QT.
Payment for delivery and any extras must be paid two weeks prior to the event.
A £2,000 refundable deposit must also be paid two weeks prior to the event and will be paid back in full within one week of South West occasions collecting the hire equipment, as long as all the equipment is returned in the same condition as when it was delivered and installed to the site.
The prize of the free wedding equipment for hire for 5 days can only be given to the person who entered the competition and can only be the person to be married, a parent, sibling or direct family member of either person to be married.
The prize of the free wedding equipment for hire for 5 days can NOT be given to any other person other than stated above and the prize can NOT be sold.
Any other person whom you would have in mind for the prize would have to enter the competition themselves in order to be in for a chance to win or one of their family members as stated above.
South west occasions are not responsible for providing the location for the wedding event. The location of the event must be supplied and paid for by the winner.
South West Occasions standard contract must be signed by all parties involved alongside a separate contract for the prize.
The prize includes equipment stated in the competition only and any other extra equipment will be chargeable or will have to be sourced by the winner. Other equipment to be considered that isn’t part of the prize would be things like a generator, luxury portaloo hire, photographers and caterers.
The wedding package prize can be upgraded to a larger wedding for an additional fee that would have to be quoted separately and paid in full two weeks prior to the event.
The wedding package prize can only be used for a wedding and on other event.
No matter where you decide to host your wedding a Temporary Events Notice must be submitted to your local council at least 10 days prior to the event for the cost of £21 or alternatively South west occasions can do this for you for an admin fee of £29.
South West Occasions reserve the right to with draw the competition prize if our target of 1000 followers bettween Facebook and Instgram is not reached.
